Full-stack product engineer
Ilya Asminkin.
I'm a full-stack product engineer in Tashkent. I take web products from design through deployment and keep them running — booking platforms like PlaySport, multi-tenant SaaS like RentTools, and AI products like Perevu. Most of my work is inheriting a half-built codebase and getting it to production.

01 / Selected work
Built for
real-life tasks.
Booking platforms, useful tools and products I keep running. A few things I’ve taken from design to deployment.

RentTools
Open-source property manager for short-term rentals. Bookings, tenants, channel calendar sync.

PlaySport
Sports venues across Uzbekistan. Real-time availability, reservations, operator tooling.

Perevu
Academic paper review. LLM pipelines over long documents, with output a reviewer can check.

MailCore
Corporate email on a company's own domain. Webmail, Outlook, Apple Mail, mobile.
More things I’ve built.
Case studies & services02 / A little about me
Away from
the screen.
Two kids, a snowboard I don't get on nearly often enough, and a habit of working from wherever I happen to be. The laptop has been open on a car dashboard on a tropical road, on a beach at sunset, and courtside at a padel club — which is roughly how playpadel.uz started.
None of that is a lifestyle claim. It's the reason I work async and in writing: across time zones and a family schedule, it's the only thing that actually holds up.

03 / The tools behind the work
An idea is just
the beginning.
The stack changes with the task. I work across the interface, the data and the infrastructure that keeps it all running.
Frontend
The tools I use to build clear, responsive interfaces.
Backend
APIs, auth, payments — the parts that get expensive to fix later.
Data
Schema first. Most product pain is a data-model decision made too early.
Infrastructure
I run my own servers, so uptime is mine rather than someone else's problem.
AI
Two of the products run on it. The hard part is the pipeline, not the prompt.
Let’s make something useful
Have something half-built, or not built yet?
Send me what you have — a repo, a brief, or a paragraph describing the mess. You'll get an honest answer about whether it needs finishing, fixing or restarting, and what that actually takes.
